Yes it is a process! It’s meant to be a learning experience to determine whether or not our adopters are ready for a lifetime commitment. Owning a parrot is hard work and they aren’t easy pets. We get several calls every week from people wanting to relinquish their birds to us. We have a strict adoption program to ensure we provide the absolute BEST for every bird that we care for. Most homes cannot provide proper care as we do here. So if you think it’s a long process, owning a parrot is probably not a good choice for you!! -Corrie
