The park is immaculate. We helped run a couples BBQ/Baby Shower for our daughter and son-in-law. Most things you are totally responsible for and there isn't any electricity provided. Plan way ahead and your event will be successful too.

Huge, beautiful park!! Places for everyone to go to and many areas to hang out in, picnic, horseback ride, swim, and just enjoy. The fall colors were incredible! Fell in love with this huge maple tree.

A quick peek into the admin building at Goddard State Park Beach paid unexpected dividends!! Inside, we met Josh Nelson, a recent URI grad, who is currently the On-Site Naturalist for the season at Goddard Park. Josh did a great job of gathering, curating and nurturing a very interesting cross section of the "living beach" and surrounding wetlands. Some kids who followed us looked in on a strange ghost shrimp, crabs, a bullfrog who I believe has gathered a following (check for possible Twitter handle) Nice to think they took away a little bit of - oops- summer learning.... Good job URI. Good job Goddard Park! Great job JOSH!!

Yes its free -tables and firepits are rented beach is free also BUT No dogs allowed on beach. Take your own trash out when you leave. Do NOT leave it onsite
Yes all the time. We go at least three times a week n on weekends we see a bride down near the water. They call it the carousel. It's beautiful. Actually you have to call way ahead. They always have something going on in there. You can probably call the office now n book it. Not sure if there open. There open all year round. You can have it catered or bring your own food. Ask if there is a grill there. Then it's a 2 min walk to the beach to take pics. Good luck. Maybe I will see you there lol. We love it there.
Yes, but you must make, i.e. reserve a camp site to grill. I believe that there is no fee.

They did at 1 time I don't know if they still have anything open. Picnic lunch or take out on the way there.( lot of great local places you can pick up from on the way.) Also spots to grill, easy to reserve online.

I imagine that it won't be until spring before they take any reservations. Some of the picnic sites do have grills. I don't know if you can bring one in

It's stupid that a state park that we pay taxes for will not allow you to sit there in the dark. Instead a couple young girls on a power trip get rude and threaten to call the police without even giving polite information and giving us a a few minutes to wrap it up. They stood there while we tried to finish our food.

As far as I know.....all picinic areas with or without shelter are free , first come best to call the park
I've never rented them I always assumed that they are free. It seems to be first come first served.
