My father and I recently used Fred Astaire Dance Studio to take lessons for our father-daughter dance at my wedding. Paige was our teacher and could not have been more fun or easier to work with! My father and I had never had dance lessons before and Paige was able to choreograph a dance to the song we wanted and taught it to us within a month. Each lesson was so much fun and Paige made everything easy to follow. The entire Fred Astaire community was so supportive of us and welcomed us as if we had been dancing there for years. My father and I absolutely loved how our dance turned out and our guests were so impressed. I would highly recommend Fred Astaire for dance lessons of any kind! We would definitely return in a heartbeat!

Being cooped up due to the Covid-19 restrictions these past few months. I just wanted to say how pleased I am that the Fred Astaire studio in Warwick is back open for private lessons. They do have CDC protocols in place to make the students, instructors and staff feel at ease. They take your temperature before entering the studio. You must wear a face mask at all times, wash your hands and fill out a questionnaire before your lesson. All private lessons are by appointment only so as there are only a limited number of people in the studio at one time. There is a 15 minute window between lessons so that the staff can clean and disinfect the area as well as washing their hands before the next lesson. I feel very safe going to the studio during this time. I would recommend to anyone who is thinking of taking lessons but might be afraid because of the Covid-19 virus, they do everything to keep you safe from the spread of the virus. And it is a way to slowly get back to normal.

This studio has been a fantastic experience! All of the staff love dancing and their love for it is something they have made to be contagious for everyone who enters. The staff's approach to teaching is second to none. They are thorough, thoughtful, kind, structured, strong and consistently demonstrate the capacity to perform, teach, and simultaneously get their students to perform, while always reaching mutually set goals. As a musician and teacher myself, I can say this is no small feat! My teacher, Emily, has been super supportive and instrumental in getting me to set and achieve goals I never would have thought possible when I entered the studio a few years ago. In the midst of the dancing....everyone at this studio are among the warmest people I encounter in any given day I have gone for a class. In the past few years of my having been a student at Fred Astaire Warwick, it is always the case that I leave the studio feeling better than when I entered. Simply, this is only because of the energy the staff creates and attracts. I would highly recommend Fred Astaire Warwick to anyone curious about dancing and or looking to make their own lives richer! My piano teacher said to me the other day...."I noticed your posture has improved and you look better lately. It's probably because of the dancing you are doing now." I owe that compliment, entirely, to the staff of this dance studio!!

Absolutely not! We welcome singles and couples here at Fred Astaire Dance Studios. If you come in as one of our single Students, your Dance Instructor will be your partner for private lessons, and our group classes and practice sessions will provide plenty of opportunities to meet – and dance with – other dance Students with the same interests and goals!
We offer instruction for all partnership dances– from waltz, tango, cha-cha, and salsa, to country western, swing and club dancing. We can help you with your wedding dance, all of your social dance needs – basically, any dance done with a partner. For those with a competitive edge, we can also help you become a skilled Pro/Am competitor with your Instructor at lots of branded Fred Astaire Regional, Inter-Regional, National and International dance competitions!
