Nice place to chill out and read or go for a nice walk. I didn't do any swimming personally.

Such a Beautiful area. Playground, Beach, Feild, Parking Area, Sand and so much space. Very quiet and clean.

Beautiful views. Be careful at low tide and know when tide is coming in before you venture onto the sandbar. Many unfortunate deaths here. The parking lot needs work, major holes. Bathrooms aren’t in service. Nice for a quick stop with a view in winter. It’s not my favorite in summer. Would rather drive a bit further for better beaches.

A great place that seldom is crowded. Includes a small playground, a few picnic benches, beach area. Famous for its views of the bay, sunrises, sunsets and the Conimicut light house. “The point” is small strip of beach that extends out into the bay and great for fishing. Please note that the point can be quickly covered by water as the tide changes causing a dangerous situation for fishermen and swimmers.

Yes!!
You r really not to be shellfishing there but people do do it just keep your eyes on beach closing that usually means they are contaminated to just be careful
Oakland Beach tried to charge for parking. Lasted 3 days. Residents complained.
They dont have a lifeguard on duty & it says No Swimmimg. Although, I did see people swimming here last year.
No you can't grill I was approached by the Warwick police while grilling and was told that it's not allowed but some do grill the officer was their to close the park at 8pm it was the first time I was told that it's not allowed he stated that their are postings stating that you cant grill upon entry to the park in which I didn't see.
This is not a swimming beach. There have been several occasions where people have cleaned up beach and found hypodermic needles. If you want to have a true RI beach eaperience go to a Narragansett Beach which are about a half hour south. You do have to pay to park during the day.
