Looking at the description of the class, it has 2 stars, which means intermediate skills. If the class is full, the teacher will not have time to get you up to speed. Look for classes with one star (asterisk)
I agree that it is a simple project and the instructors are always happy to help. Go for it!
It should be a simple enough project for starter and plus they are great with helping you out and walking you through anything you need help with
