I was there two days ago (Feb 8th) and there were hundreds of monarchs. This is the time to visit.
I was there two weeks ago and there were quite a few. Should go fairly soon though, because they will start migrating North again. Since we are currently experiencing warm days, it would be a good time to go see them. On warmer days there is more activity.
