How about leaving dog at home? My son as deathly allergic to dogs. Was at Home Depot once when he was a toddler and I out him in Cary where a dog was placed by previous customer. Immediately broke out in hives and had difficulty breathing. Needed to be taken to emergency room.
I wouldn't leave dog in car. If you are making a fast trip. Small dog can be put in basket.
I have seen them in carts.
