They are pretty good but not as good as DTF. The skin at DTF is thinner and the broth inside the xiao long bao at DTF is tastier. But DTF is also an hour away from SF and this is a solid option if you are craving xiao long bao.
You shouldn't compare dumpling time to DTF because DTF specializes in soup dumplings (xiao long bao) which dumpling time has, while yummy, are not of the caliber of DTF. Dumpling time's strength is in its variety of other dumplings like shumai, gyoza, and dessert baos that are in my opinion the highlights of the menu!
