Just a question if Pit bulls are such great dogs and mixed breeds with Pits why are the shelters full of them. It's a shame for all these homeless dogs. It's so sad. They need to quit breeding them.

Because so many towns make them illegal to own and so many apartments ban any dog that has ever been considered semi aggressive. It's stupid and outrageous. I just got my girl emotional support dog registered.

Because it's called breed discrimination. Awful, cruel people like Michael Vick have bred these beautiful dogs to fight because they have big jaws. Dogs are very loyal and will do anything for their owner, including dying. Dogs aren't born mean, they're taught to be that way for the profit of their unscrupulous owner. People buy into the ignorance that the whole breed is vicious. That perpetuates more ignorance causing the breed to be illegal in certain cities because of random attacks involving Pit Bulls. That's why the shelters are full of Pit Bulls and that's what is sad. A whole breed is being forgotten about because of the cruelty of selfish people.
