Contrary to the previous answer, you cannot take Caltrain directly there. You could take a Caltrain to the San Francisco station and then take the MUNI (N- Line). It's a half block from the Powell Street Station. That's how I get there. I would recommend leaving the car at home, not necessarily because of parking but because of the specific area where the restaurant is located. It's a mess right there, lots of pedestrians, lots of tourists, lots of delivery trucks. It's stressful.

Anywhere is SF parking is at a premium, but with take uber or taxi, or even Caltrain.
There are public parking decks within a couple of blocks, but much better to uber or taxi if you can
