Hotel Union Square

CLOSED!!!! Turned up today for our booked room to find the hotel is closed and boarded up! No answer at the telephone. Obviously, we have not been contacted by the hotel to advise they are no longer operating! Lucky for us we had not prepaid so no refund required. Now staying elsewhere (sadly more expensive, but very nice) after a very stressful phone call from a no parking zone.

Our stay at Hotel Union square was absolutely fantastic. The location was central to everything and a great starting point each day. The bart station was close by for getting to and from the airport, and our rental car place was also around the corner from the hotel. So mega kudos for the location. We were able to recharge and relax in our spacious room. Between the packed schedule, this room gave us a great place to retreat when needed. The staffing was beyond excellent, and very kind and helpful. We stayed in the King Premium room with a view of Powell St. It was surprisingly quiet given the amount of hustle and bustle going on 5 stories down. The concierge service was greatly appreciated when we arrived too early for check in, but still wanted to go explore nearby. They tagged our bags and kept them in their care until we were texted that our room was ready. There's parking right around the corner that's not so bad on price if you plan on being on the go in a rental vehicle. I highly recommend staying with them. Keep in mind that there is a resort fee per day, but if you're looking for somewhere that's a great starting point and a great value this is what you're looking for. All together I can't say enough about it. Id give them more than 5 stars if it were possible.

This hotel exceeded our expectations by a long shot. We stayed in a junior suite for 6 nights. The location is perfect. Room is HUGE with a HUGE walk in shower. Room was very clean. Mini fridge in the room eventhough it doesn't state that on the websites. Staff was great. Wine hour was a plus. Best trip EVER! Will 100p% be back!

The place located in the heart of Downtown SF. The overall place experience was not bad. The price per night was average. Pros: Nice room, large bathroom, very clean, location, front desk service, free evening amenities Cons: The room I was staying don't have a centralize AC therefore it's very loud, not very upfront with the hidden fees (they told me about the fees after they swiped my card) Side note: They charged me double after I check my bank statement. It takes about 2 days to resolve this issue but the employee was very understanding and polite. They refunded my money within 48 hours. So, keep an eye on your statement after stayed at this place.
