A decent, safe and central hotel in Union square. Being a solo female traveller I never had any issues inside and around the hotel. The front desk employees were all kind and friendly. No actual breakfast was served, just cookies and coffee(which was an inconvenience). The rooms are outdated, but have nice views and and spacious and comfortable. Lots of cafes and food places around. It’s also very easy to reach the hotel from the metro station (just a short straight walk), without having to walk much uphill. Overall, recommended for a no-frills stay in central San Fran.

Nice little older hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Rooms are a little older and washrooms are tight. My only complaint would be no coffee in the rooms. Means you have to go to the lobby in the morning to get it. The bar is a nice spot to hang out before heading out for supper, staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the city. Great place would come again.

What a great find this hotel was! Amazing location, comfy bed, nice deep bath tub! The rooms are super quiet too. There is coffee, tea and a snack available in reception all day. The coffee is also very good. I loved this hotel a lot and would recommend to anyone!

This is an absolutely amazing hotel in a great central location. The rooms are clean and have essentials that I haven’t seen in a lot of modern hotels. Hotel is old but very well taken care of and the staff here make the stay even better. The people at the front desk were very attentive in all the questions I had and the server Rory at the restaurant was very kind and professional. If you’re traveling to San Francisco and want a clean facility in a central location this is a great place on a budget. I truly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back. Thank you once again to the staff at this location for making my stay very enjoyable!
