You will be in the GREAT SMOKEY MOUNTAINS. You will need much more time than a weekend to see CHEROKEE and all the beauty just in that area. Have fun and enjoy your selves. Wish that I was there
Yes, you know could go to mingo Falls, just ride around the area, there are lots of things to see at least. Ride over to Bryson City, takes about 20 minutes. Hour and half drive to the Fields of the wood passing by River Valley. There are so many other things and sights to see and do. Pigeons Forge and Gatlinburg is only a 1 1/2 hour drive away riding up through the smokey mountains. Horse back riding, Helicopter rides etc.
There is so much to do that if you spend a lot of time in the casino you will be missing a lot
About the biggest deal they have is shopping in old Cherokee where there is a lot of small shops there is also a out door drama called "unto these hills"which is great the mountain scenery is beautiful and if you don't mind a little extra drive cades cove and cataloochie are not to far off

The museum is great, a zoo, at the river you can go tubing, fishing, and grilling its an awesome time!!!!
Lots of touristy shops in town to see. Also lots of trails leading of main roads for short hikes, drives. Beautiful scenery to see Eeverywhere. Peter's Pancake place is Awesome for breakfast. We stop in there every morning if at Harrahs. Be prepared to wait a bit if you go after 10. Crowded but worth it
