Very spacious rooms with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Great views of the river from our balcony. Beds were just ok but overall the rooms were pretty nice. We would definitely stay again.

Positive: Nice quiet room overlooking the river. Pretty good deal. Negative: It's dated, but pretty well maintained. No issues whatsoever.

PROS: Pool (and I assume hot tub) is open looks nice from the outside rooms are nice and homey very clean room to put everything away lots of places to plug stuff in The river in the back and a wide lawn is nice It's nice to have a back patio CONS: mattress was really saggy & worn NO FRIDGE ceiling stains hornet nests in patio no breakfast bathroom area is really small AC didn't quite get the room cold enough to be comfortable to sleep, and had a hard time cooling off the back bathroom area - like it couldn't reach that far shower makes a shrill "tea kettle" noise towels are small and rough noisy - lots of traffic noise, guests walking by no elevator I ended up at the Rodeway for a spur-of-the-moment stay on a Saturday night and felt like I paid a lot ($170) for not much. The rooms are nice enough but the back patio just has one measly plastic chair (and two hornet's nests.) And there was no fridge! I've stayed in all kinds of cheap hotels and they've all had a mini-fridge. I had food that went bad. The mattress seemed very old and saggy and the AC never got cold enough for me to sleep very well. There was lots of noise keeping me up too - traffic, revving motorbikes, police sirens, other guests being loud as they went to their rooms at midnight. I didn't sleep very well. The shower was fine (few amenities - two things of soap and two things of shampoo - no conditioner or lotion) but mine made a shrill whine that got higher and higher in pitch, like a kettle on the stove, until it cut off, only to start again a minute or two later. I shaved my legs and washed my hair, which meant I got a two-siren shower. And the towels are pretty small and very rough. I abandoned the first one completely and a second one was marginally better. I don't think they rent out the room I had (222) very much - it's right by the stairs (no elevator) and there were plenty of gnats in the toilet and tub, indicating it hadn't been used in a while. When I dropped off my keys in the morning, I noticed a big breakfast room that they apparently don't use anymore. It's like it used to be a nice place but they took a lot of the value away. I've definitely paid less and gotten more at other places. It's not terrible, it's just not great. As for the location - it's far enough off the main area to not be able to walk to things, but you can drive to whatever you want. It's in a strip with 4-5 other hotels.

Pretty clean and quiet here. One thing though is upon check in we asked about breakfast we were told that it was closed (though free breakfast advertised). When asked why, we were told "uh Covid". Then we asked if the pool was open and were told "yes". The free provided breakfast that was advertised (which did influence our choice of stay) is actually NOT available because of "COVID" but the pool is definitely open and is NOT affected by "COVID". We are over 2yrs out from the start of pandemic, and we are still doing this? Staff doesn't wear mask but your still saying COVID? Just sayin... I do see where a previous review stated owner says its too expensive to do breakfast (didnt see review until after checking in). Just be real, seems like you didn't want to invest in your customers.
