Yes, they can help, not only they can provide you with a voucher, but even though they are not a food bank they have a small area where they can give a few items. I know this first hand because I am a social worker and got a tour.
If you can get in touch with a case manager, they can give you food vouchers and referral to UP. I am blessed to shop there. While a lot of people may not like the idea of the brands or the conditions of the food, they do great by me most times. Best of luck and happy New Year!
