Our family dog is very aggressive and the humane society won’t take him. He bit my son before and I have another baby on the way... I want to get rid of him before my new baby comes. What do I do?

Surrender him to the city pound they may charge you $40.00 I am not sure how they settle voluntary surrenders . But make sure they know he isn't good around children.

Thank you all. I will research all these options.

Better yet, rehome him yourself. Or, if he is too dangerous to be in a home, he can be euthanized at a private vet, surrounded by the people he knows, instead of at the shelter. Sometimes this is necessary, and if you can take the responsibility upon yourself, that is ideal for both the dog and the community.

Follow up to Kelly West- They ask you if you realize that the animal will be put down. Be prepared to answer.
