You need to call and make this request. You should check with area hospital first to see if he's a patient. You need to have his address too. Unless hes had troubles in the past, the police don't have endless resources to locate and/ or track down citizens. Also many areas considered to be "Clearwater" are unincorporated for the County Sheriff.
Call them for a welfare check.
