you absolutely do not need to call the title company. The controller office is where you go to do a quick deeds or title transfer. Is fairly easy you can get forms from Office Depot or online. and you have to Google directions on how to fill it out because the controller office will not tell you.
If you have one filled out, signed, and notarized, yes. This is where you would record it.
