End of November-beginning of December
Right now. It is the season for it. The butterflies are already here. But when i went there last week the count was pretty low. So better call the Sanctuary before you go. I hope you know that there are other groves too like the Monarch Preserve near Natural Bridges, Santa Cruz.

Best time of day is whenever the sun is out. That is when they are the most active and feeding.

I've been there 3 times. Supposedly, Thanksgiving and Valentine's day. Go figure!
