I had higher expectations. First, their pool and hot tub is closed due to a code violation. Second there is no "breakfast" just a bag of juice, fruit, and bagged muffin which you have to pick up in the office. Third, they never came for turn down service. Most if not all hotels will come in and make the bed, fresh towels, etc. We stayed 2 nights and no one came to clean. There is not dining hall where it shows on their website. Next we get into the room that has 2 beds and fireplace. Cool right?! Nope, the fireplace was missing the glass shield, didn't work, and had live exposed wires for babies and kids to grab. I told the front desk, she looked at me and just responded with... "o ok". No attempt to fix it or anything. The rooms were REALLY worn and had splatter marks on the walls and could have been cleaned a bit better. For $120 a night, it wasn't bad but anything over $200 is just not worth it for the lack of maintenance and attention.

2 out of 5 stars | The check-in and checkout process was not friendly, and we were never told that they had a $50 pet fee till we arrived even though we called and asked, We checked their website and they didn’t mention anything about it. The room was clean but there was no soap in the bathroom and the curtains were broken. The rooms was comfortable but require an upgrade, The location of the hotel is good because it’s located next to a beach, and is walking distance to downtown. It is next to a cemetery some people might not like that. The breakfast was served in a bag, I wouldn’t bother with that it’s prepackaged from a local grocery store. I would not recommend staying here.

Don't be fooled by these strange negative reviews, especially the proximity to the cemetery. The grounds there are beautiful, there's a view of the ocean, deer walk through constantly, and there is a golf course next to it as well. I stayed at the Lighthouse Lodge for three nights and it was a great experience! The rooms are clean and renovated, and the beds are very comfortable. We had a double room with fireplace which was a nice touch. The value compared to other hotels on the Peninsula cannot be beat. Would highly recommend!

Our mid-week stay at the Lighthouse was just what we needed at the end of a busy day of sightseeing. Check in was easy with only a few guests in front of us. He did warn us the shower water temperature was backwards. The "cottages" are down the street with easy access. We were expecting a detached unit, but it was fine. Our cottage was 304 with a large room, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, small refrigerator, bar sink, microwave, one chair with a hassock for my tired feet and a sliding glass door. The shower was large and clean with nice towels. The room did have a strong smell of cleaning products, but in this day of COVID it is expected. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The patio area outside the rooms had fire pits, but they were not on and lots of seating. The next morning we went to check out and grabbed our bagged breakfast to take with us. Again, with COVID it was okay. It is an easy walk to the ocean, Lighthouse, golf course and Butterfly Sanctuary. All employees were pleasant and we will be back.

Yes ask to stay on the nice side of the street, big difference
No, no turret. The most haunting thing there was the sound of the ocean. For being right up again a cemetery, it was beautiful.
Look on Groupon . That is how I found out about it!
