Go to the kennel area of this facility and try to see if you can identify the dog you are looking for, write the animal identification number, take a picture of him if possible and go to the front counter to ask one of the officers or animal care technicians there if the dog you are interested in will be euthanized or not. I sincerely hope that you can adopt him fast before it is too late. Pray to god for guidance and hope for the best.

I would just call and ask. You should have a paper they gave you when you turned him in. Rely on your obvious love for animals, and leave god out of it.
