Professionally managed, true luxury condo living in the best part of DTLA. The best amenities of any building downtown.>

I visited the building because I was considering to purchase a unit at the Metropolis. My friend was giving me a tour and there was a lady who screamed and created a commotion at us. I felt very disrespected and violated. She also called the security to call the cops on us because my dog went to the playground for less than 2 minutes. Avoid living here or you will have to deal with rude people - this place doesn’t feel homey at all.

I truly dislike this place and wish I never lived here. This is not a pleasant place to live no matter how much the agents / tour guides tell you otherwise. Please do your full due diligence before proceeding. Here is my perspective: 1. Not a safe environment on the 9th floor common area: As nice as it may look, appearances can be deceiving. There is a very small dog "park" for BIG dogs and SMALL dogs to share. Consequently, there will be plenty of accidents. I know of at least 3 attacks in the last 5 months. A person's hand got bitten. A small dog got attacked with scars on his legs. Plenty of accidents also occur on the elevators, where dogs who are not properly trained (because owners are careless and irresponsible) lunge out of the elevators. 2. Stringent rules: I have never witnessed a building complex with so many rules. I understand that rules can be great, but I sometimes question their priorities. They should spend energy to ensure a safe environment in the building. 3. NO retail buildings downstairs. It will take a long time for the value of the condos to go up. They advertised all these great retail shops opening downstairs. How many shops have opened? ZERO TIP: You can get a better perspective by reading reviews on Google / Yelp about Thea at Metropolis, the other tower that Metropolis shares its common area with.

I enjoy a 5-star resort experience every day I live here. The front desk and maintenance provide superb service. My dog runs to the front desk every time we go the 1st floor to get treat from them. My husband and I looked at numerous buildings in downtown Los Angeles and Metropolis by far has the most and highest-quality amenities: a pavillion for cooking and hosting parties, numerous BBQs outdoor dining tables, cabanas and lounge chairs along the junior-Olympic size pool, jacuzzi, kids' playground, kids play room, top of the line gym, yoga studio, a walking path circling the entire garden, business center with iMacs, conference room, sauna, showers, screening room, game room, lounge, community kitchen and dining room for hosting dinner parties. The rooftop gardens and patios on the 9th and 21st floors are beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained. No other building has a dog park with a dog wash station, drinking fountains, a tunnel, benches and trees.
