It does.. but you can't feel you're going up because the views distract you and it's not crazy steep.
There are a few points of climbing over rocks. There is an elevation gain from the trail head to the bridge of about 1200 ft., But the majority is a gradual incline. No exhausting hills, just some short ups and downs if that makes sense.
It's a fairly flat hike with few uphill climbs
