John’s Pass bridge used to be a lot lower. If I remember correctly it took a long time to build the ‘new’ bridge along side the old one. During that timeframe we would use a different route, and come over the bridge on Central Avenue. There was a 50 cents toll fee at that time. I can sit for hours watching the bridge, as it always fascinated me I have been underneath it walking, and in boats. People fish off the bridge too.
