Naw
There are two collections. The main museum is just a walk-in. However, there is another collection with a much nicer atmosphere that requires a reservation. Both collections are free, though. Also, there is a cool railroad sleeper car tour in the back that is neat to see. Someone leads a group through it several times a day. Also free.
Note' though reservations are required for the free, limited-size guided tour of the main collection, there IS a way to get on the list ! If you are going to the (also free)1-story museum across the street, check-in at the front information desk & ask, if there is room on the next Collection tour, to have your name added to the wait-list. It's definitely worth a try. I got to go on the tour when a friend from out of town dropped by. We would have totally-enjoyed just to walk through the secondary museum. There is also so much to see there; but we got the privilege going on "the really cool tour" just by being there before tour time and just by asking! So, GO ANYWAY ! ...& don't forget to ask! You'll like it!
Reservations are required for the guided tour of the Collection. The museum doesn't require reservations.
The side with the collection will take your breath away ☺️
Not for the museum. Reservations are required to see the collection.
