Hi Jessica, it's the Winter season schedule. I think that OSV and many other attractions need to rethink operating schedules. Given the fact folks work flex schedules and home schooling also involves hands on learning, venues such as OSV are missing a market audience that would Love the experience there.
Hours vary throughout the year. They close a few days during the work week to do maintenance and such. These are also low volume days where it probably costs them more money to open than to stay closed.
As some have noted, Mondays and Tuesdays are used to perform maintenance in the Village that we couldn't otherwise do without disrupting the visitor experience. We are generally open Wed-Sun, but we also open on many Monday holidays or other holidays if they happen to fall on a Monday or Tuesday. Its their winter hours if you go to Sturbridge Village website and go to hours of operation scroll down you'll see they are open more days in the warmer months.
