Only during certian hours you can take the lighthouse tour.
Thehours posted are just for going into the lighthouse. After hours you can still visit and walk right up to it, just not go inside.
Lighthouse hours are listed on the Park website and it closes a few days before the end of September. In September it is open 11-4 but if you want to get on a tour get there early. It is closed from 2-2:30. The walk down to it may be challenging for some people but worth it. When you leave stop by the Octopus Tree. The trail is from the parking lot. Just don't follow google maps because park of the road is closed. Be sure to come to the lighthouse from the southern side.

As far as I know, the hours are posted for the entire park... there is no actual access to a lighthouse... but there is a souvenir shop. And that is Outlook State Park...Cape Meares is an actual beach access area.
