Follow the rules and policy. Mind your own business. Utilize all the resources, and don't trust anyone. She may have to keep on her case manager about certain things. Keep her valuable close. Don't have anyone watching your bags/luggage. No unsealed bottles/ snacks. Beds given out by 3:30 pm. So get there by 3:15 pm. Hope this will help.
It can be a tough place. I mean everyone is somewhat nice for the most part but tell her to protect any valuables she has. Like sleep with them under her pillow...i will say though there are a lot of resources there though
The last 3 responces are pretty right on. I would just add to stay to yourself and/or surround yourself to a small circle of trusted friends.
Go there not to make friends..keep valuebles close ... Learn what you can from other homeless people it is for women only.
