It depends on qhwther or not any action is or will be taken. Also on organization policy, but if there is no consequence to you they are not obligated to infot you.
Absolutely, if your filing a complaint you should receive a response from the HR department no more then a couple of days if the incident was explained and they need time to research it. I would say if you haven't heard from them I would call them again and let them know that you're upset and you're demanding an answer. Good luck and I hope this helps
