This is normal for all theaters. You are charged when the tickets are ordered, not when they are received or picked up at will call. If you want to pay later then you have to take the risk of reserving your seats later, perhaps when your monthly billing cycle restarts.
You will not have a problem with the ace 😁 just call the box office or email if you are concerned
