Call 311 and give them VIN number make of the car and year. You have to be the register owner in order to get it out.

You have to call the local tow yard. Each and every tow yard has a jurisdiction. Find out yours, Google it, call them and ask if they have your car, give license number of your car and they will give you total of how much you owe. Bewarned! If it got towed because of a parking violation, you might owe a city parking ticket too ON TOP of the tow charges. Make sure after you get it out of the tow yard if you owe a ticket on your car; the tow yard would NOT have the information about that, check los angeles parking violation bureau, or which ever county it got towed in.
