That is not correct. It is $35 for a drivers license. If coming from out of state as a licensed driver you need to take a written exam ( they are on a computer now) no behind the wheel test is necessary no matter the age as long as you can pass eye exam.
You need to get a California license I believe if you're in the state for more than 10 days you have to have a license you just pay a fee $48 and they'take your picture and you'll get your California license they were honored your Utah license if you're 85 you may have to take a driving test under 85 you'll be fine
