My 16 year old's driving tester was awful! From the minute we got there he was rude to the other employees, talking down to the woman at the desk trying to help us, then was very rude to me when I asked for clarification on where to move my car for the test. His tone and rudeness would put anyone on edge, so I calmed my daughter down and knew she is a good driver and would pass. It seems he was looking for a way to fail her. She asked for clarification as she approached the right turn lane that was far from the intersection if he meant for her to turn here. He could have simply responded, "Yes, turn here" but instead said, "I said, 'Turn right at the next intersection' " which made her think she needed to go up to the light and turn. He automatically failed a good driver for HIS poor, rude communication skills! A shame that I have to give Novato 1 star because I have had other good experiences there but this guy (ID # C 33?) should NOT be giving driving tests and by the look of the employees at the office it looked like they know it too!

My first time at this DMV, and walked in before lunch on a Friday. Everyone was extremely polite and helpful, and to my benefit I was in and out within half an hour. This was a great experience.

I don’t want to generalice but SOME people working there they don’t even know what customer service is. One of them just treated me so bad, I told him he didn’t have to be mean to me. It’s not fear that we all have to go there to do paper work and be treated so poorly.

Wow, one of the nicest DMV’s I have ever been. Line was normal. People who worked behind the counter were smiling to everyone! Its hard to imaging. I am used to Los Angeles DMV where people are angry, depressed and uncooperative. I was able to take care of my things easily and Novato DMV. I just love it in this city. Everything is so nice! I am super happy I moved here :)

How do I replace drivers license
I do not have a passport but it is urgent for me to get the license that other papers I can take and go through the second rebition but here in the dmv of the serrito san pablo ca I can be a nobato with the same documents that I brought here here in the cerritio they are very full and it will take 2 months the appointment and I urged me to take the exam
U think the website will have a megalodon ad???
All of the answers are in the handbook and you can also google test questions. There's a bank of like 75 questions and they randomly select 25 to administer.
I went last Friday and had all my paperwork so I got a number to see someone but had to wait outside.
Yes they are open.
You should be able to. Any DMV offers those kinds of services.
Yes
Antonia in my opinion you just have to go to the DMV And bring money because they will charge you from $ 25 to $ 35 depending
Julie brush up on your grammar. If you have the documents no further action should be required.
There are currently no test drives in Novato. You can make an appointment in Corte Madera, Petaluma, or Santa Rosa. Those were the options they gave me.
probably think you have to make an appointment
It's very easy to do with the way they are handling things bring something with your info and they will have you use the computer for the rest
Yes,arrive at apx 745am
They were open last week
I didn't go online as seems there online is terrible I just showed up at 930 I was 2nd in line
2 pieces of ID (passport ssn) and 2 pieces of proof of CA residence. Bankstatemrnt or utility bills
You can try online to renew license. If you are eligible, it can be renewed online. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/driver-licenses-identification-cards/driver-license-id-card-online-renewal/
I suggest checking the website before you go to see wait time but you can just go.
https://realid.dmv.ca.gov/
And
I don't believe so, But it also depends on your age
No
It can vary, but usually Thursday mornings are calm. Afternoons on Saturday have also been a good time so far. You'll be required to fill out a DL44 online either at home or in office to renew your driver's license.
I believe they do just has to be before 4 pm.
Then you either go in on a walk in or don't get pulled over.
You can go to the DMV web site to look up office wait times. Here is Novato it is toward the bottom of the screen. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/fo/offices/fieldoffice?number=686
I'm not sure, but i do believe that to be so.
Yes till 5
The line wait is long. I you get them on the spot.
Yes you can! If u do the application on line then you will save a bit of time even though Novato Dmv is pretty quick.
I've been there a few times recently and noticed that its busy around opening time and lunchtime. I'd say after 2 PM would be a good time to walk in without an appt.
You need at a minimum a release of liability.
Search their web site
No appointment needed for anything other than a road test. It's one of the best places to go.
My brother gets his sent to him. I don't think he does anything but pay
Yes. Probably won't be too long a wait.
You need two forms proving your place of residence now not one. You just need to go to any dmv fill out the form on computer at dmv and stand in line for couple hours if you don't have appt. You also have to wait 30 after your new license arrives before applying for new one
Yes
Are you looking for a H6 driving record? $5 and your license at any DMV
One
For a duplicate license it is $28. If you want to change it to Real ID federal compliant license bring either your original birth certificate or valid passport and your Social Security Card and a proof of California residency such as a copy of your PG&E bill
Go in
It usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get your ID if you don't get your ID in about 5 weeks I would say you want to call the DMV to find out where it is it's all in the computer so they should be able to tell you right away where it is
Yes he can but he has to wait a week you can either call or go online to make the appointment
That is not correct. It is $35 for a drivers license. If coming from out of state as a licensed driver you need to take a written exam ( they are on a computer now) no behind the wheel test is necessary no matter the age as long as you can pass eye exam.
Only one parent has to be there or anybody over 25 with a valid California license the permit should be signed by the parent the student and also the first instructor they want those three signatures and only one parent can go or both can go if they want
