You should always carry proof of car ins. But they wont ask you for it .
Always carry proof of insurance. You never know when you will need it.
The campgrounds literally my back yard, and has been my playground since I could climb and run, I'm from here, ive worked at the campground as well so trust me when I say that insurance is something we won't ask for even with an huge rv your looking to park and camp out with, UNLESS you hit and employee's vehicle or cause damage to property.
I agree with Mario! Should always have insurance. Not sure how important it is to an indian tribe, but if you travel outside a Indian resevation, and you dont have insurance and get pulled over, you could lose your car. Just FYI. But as far as visiting La Jolla, they dont ask for that. You drive up, pay whatever fee for one or two cars, if your hauling a trailer, its a little more..they give you a paper (their permit) you place on your windshield and you drive in and look for a spot along the river or further up top for seclusion...but beware, further you go, less a chance for a restoom or shower center.
