Is this retreat good for a family weekend get away? ... what are the options for mom, dad, young children..3&5 years....plus grandmother? Are there planned activities at Sacred Mountain for guests?

I know julian has some fun stuff to do for families. Which is really close to Sacred Mountain. No activities setup on the property besides the pool and hiking.

I think it would be a good place for a family weekend get away if you're looking for a nice relaxing venue. I rented the place for my wedding. It is very beautiful and there are little critters running everywhere. There are no planned activities at this venue. On the property they have a small children's playhouse, a pool, and jacuzzi, hiking trails, a small garden, and horses (which can be rented out by the hour for an additional fee). This venue is quite close to the town where you can do a variety of activities and food options. (Try out the Candied Apple Cafe - got my cake there, it was amazing. They also do brunch and lunch, and have an amazing rosemary bread. At night there is little to no light so you can step outside and star gaze into a sky flush with sparkling lights. On the downside this is located on a hill so going up and down the hill you will want some transportation up and down the hill and has quite a few stairs around the property if you are going to walk around.
