You don't have to know anything going in. Level one classes are a lot of jumping over things and onto things, some hanging and swinging from things, and how to roll on the ground. I don't think you start flipping till level 3 or 4. Or as previously mentioned, open gyms (mon-thurs 8-11, Sat 3-5 $10) where you can try anything you want. But there are plenty of soft things to try thing on to reduce chances of injury.

There are lessons! Theyd start you with the very basics. During open gym sessions , it can be intimidating to see the pros jumping around everywhere, but people are nice, and you can always try asking for tips/basic drills from other beginners.
