No not advisable. It's perfectly wilderness. Protection is better. No flip flops π.
You can wear flip flops to get in and then get a train ride to explore the red woods. That would be fine
Not at all. Like any wilderness hiking trail, there are some tree roots that come up from the ground. There are also other things like plants and rocks
Not recommended but I wore flip flops in Henry Cowell and Big Basin. My feet were very dirty and you can't explore much. π

You can wear flip flops on the Redwood Loop trail, but not advisable after rain.
You're fine with flip-flops if you're going on the paved trails at the park HQ. You get to see really big trees there, and the pretty San Lorenzo river. For rough hiking the forest is steep and untidy so it's up to you .. I wear Tevas not flip-flops thete
