Call the local post office to make an appointment. Waiting in line take 2 or 3 or 4 times longer. Also make phone call between 10am and 3pm when mail carriers are out of the office delivering mail so the staff can answer your questions and take more individual time. 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm are the worst times to call a post office as almost all the staff is reparing mail for delivery, or returning to the office at the end of the day being chased by dogs, and sunburned.
I am not sure only because it involves a postal person to be responsible to check computer logs...l believe a phone call with human contact will get better results. I have been told its best to call the office and ask for an appointment...😀
