Yes, the thrombectomy procedure is only performed at the Oakland Campus (Summit)
Yes, they do. Just had one a few weeks ago. I was taken by ambulance but to the other Alta Bates in Berkeley (for whatever reason). They transferred me to the Oakland Alta Bates when they said only that hospital could do the procedure. However, I went right through because the other ER did the testing. If you call an ambulance, they'll take you to the ER. From there the attending Dr will decide if you need the procedure.
