I have insurance and went in with symptoms - cough and sore throat and was still charged $160 before the test. They made me wait in line iand never even gave me a visit even though I said multiple times that I had symptoms. I was never even examined. When I went it felt much more like a mass testing facility than a clinic. If you’re concerned about the cost go literally anywhere else.
It depends on the test you take. If you have insurance, they'll cover all of it if Carewell determines that it is "medically necessary" for you - which seems to be whether or not you're having symptoms but it's up to the person you see. This is also true for people without insurance. If it's not medically necessary (I fell into this group a few months ago when getting tested after arriving in massachusetts due to travel but was asymptomatic), here are the out of pocket costs, even if you have insurance: PCR or SARS Antigen FIA – $160 at time of service SARS Antigen FIA + Flu A/B – $210 at time of service Antibody – $105 at time of service.
