I changed from Pearl street laundry to here because my cloths got stuck/ripped in Pearl street laundry for too many times. Comparing the two, I would say Metropolitan runs by nice and polite people and the price is lower. Here is especially good because the machines are more efficient too

Sabna at Metropolitan was so accommodating, understanding, and kind when I spilled quite a bit of detergent in the store. She also was very accommodating and attentive to the two duvets I brought in. They are such a wonderful local laundry mat and dry cleaner — could not recommend more strongly for all your needs!

I brought in two types of large plastic bags and when I went to load my car the male attendant helped himself to some of the bags I brought to bag my laundry. Another patron alerted me to this. I will never return to this location. In addition to this a good number of the washing machines (along the right side of the wall) smelled of mildew.

I've gone here for wash and press/dry cleaning a dozen times or so. The staff is extremely friendly, and I'm always greeted with a warm smile from either Sanjay, Sabda, or the famous Maria. Clothes come back clean, looking great, and they don't judge you if you left a piece of candy in your pocket ;-). They were able to fix a hole in my pants and I was very pleased with the result. Will come back again!
