Delivery mistakes and poor customer service is the only consistency I’ve experienced so far with CMS. We have ordered formula through CMS for the last 4 months. We have had bad experience after bad experience (both customer service and delivery service). One of the orders came in 3 different shipments over the course of 4 weeks! (one can here, 2 cans there). They claimed back order issues. That’s fine except they never called to explain the situation. I had to call multiple times to understand what was going on. Another time they sent me the wrong formula and when I called they claimed it was a shipping department mistake. Again, mistakes happen - ok. However, they never apologized - ever. And then they said they would send someone to switch it out at the beginning of the next week. I had to call them at the end of that next week to inquire about the situation. Again, she never apologized but instead said they would send someone out that day to switch the formula out. Every time I spoke with Megan at CMS she would provide me an estimated time to receive the order (or mistake picked up), and every time they would miss their estimate by several days (or even weeks!) and I would have to follow up to get another estimated time. It’s hard to plan formula orders when they are so inconsistent with their timelines and have such poor communication skills.

There are multiple suppliers for breast pumps through insurance -- don't use CMS. Know that they won't help you if there are issues with your order. First, my pump was back ordered so took almost a week to ship. They sent me the wrong pump (said I specified that one based on handwritten notes.) Pump ended up being defective (had scratches on the case and tear in rubber casing where the tubes connected.) CMS refused to exchange it because I opened the box -- how would I know anything was wrong otherwise? -- and told me to call the manufacturer. None of which gets me the pump that I originally wanted and added a lot of stress for a new mom. Also, they charge $10 for shipping which the other pump suppliers DO NOT. I ordered from them thinking that going local was better -- but wish I had just ordered from an out of town supplier that may have actually helped me. Buyer beware.

I just called and spoke to someone who had no idea what they were talking about. When you need to rent a breast pump - someone should know a thing or two about them!!! Super frustrating.

Beginning was very nice - they immediately provided the device, promised to deal with insurance etc. But... In a month we received a bill for the part that insurance did not pay. The bill contained services that we never ordered. Tried to communicate with them - attitude dramatically changed: "we do not care, it's your problem, deal with your insurance". We obviously contacted our insurance as well. The insurance checked the situation and announced that it will deal with that people as "services" that Cambridge Medical Supply is trying to bill for are not allowed from the first place (i.e. not compatible with the device). So, you may want to think about that. And, by the way, check their BBB rating.
