ALERT: NO TRAINS. AS OF 6/25/22 SHUTTLE BUSES REPLACE TRAINS TO GOVT CENTER UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Structure damage found in govt center and Haymarket causing unsafe conditions in tunnels cause emergency construction to begin.

New ticket system at the new station is awful. No way to add value to an existing Charlie Ticket. You have to go up to the train platform and if you don't have enough value on your ticket when the train comes, you have to go down three flights of stairs and get a new ticket and then wait for the next train while losing any value you had left on your existing ticket because you can't transfer it to the new ticket since the machines don't have a slot to insert the ticket. Really a terrible system.

The layout of the station is a little confusing, and it's a bit worn and dirty, but as of right now it's a very useful station. I hope they will refurbish it as part of the (in-progress as of time of writing in 2020) Green Line extension.

Ive been going to this station since i was a kid, and it hasn’t changed much. Its currently the beginning of the green line in somerville, but there are plans to expand stops into the medford square area. The station looks its ago, but it has been been given real time arrival boards. Its a great hub to get downtown or local somerville buses.

It's Friday night, I'd park in the FENWAY area and take the D line green line train to Lechmere.
You can take the E line or the C line. The C line starts at North Station. The E Line starts at lechmere
No you cannot. You have to transfer a Government Center, Park Street, Copley, Boylston, or Arlington. There is no longer any more trains that go all the way from Riverside Station to lechmere. You have to change for the E Line at Copley Square.
