my wife has medicare as primary and United Health Care, Empire Plan as secondary insurance. Does your facility participate in those plans and if so, do you bill the insurance first or require the patient to pay first and file a claim later?

While I can't answer the portion regarding Medicare, I have United Health Care, and have never had any issues. In my experience, the only thing I've been required to pay was my co-payment, while the office took care of the rest and made things quite easy for me.
