If a child was bitten by a dog and but that child provoked that dog. Does the dog have to be put to sleep?

Hopefully, the dog was within its own fencing and the child reached in or over the fence. If he was on a leash, that would be a reason to stay back. However, if the child was teasing the dog, the childhood the parent close by, the parent is responsible for the child safety. The dog shouldn't be put down.
