There are alot of rules. Gear and safety. The ref's explain them. Usually in the morning around 9am before the games start. Its hard to hear them all unless you go to the orientation in the morning.
Generally: 1. Always keep your eye, face, and ear protection on during all times on the field. 2. Barrel Plugs on at all times off-the-field. 3. Magazines out, take 2-3 shots towards the ground before walking off the field and putting on your barrel plug. 4. Call your hits. When in doubt, call yourself hit, and walk to respawn, or off the field (observe 1, 2, 3). 5. Snipers have a minimum engagement distance of 100ft, which require you to have a sidearm for any engagements closer than 100ft. AEGs and all other non-sniper guns have a 10ft no-engagement distance where you must yell, "bang bang". 6. All non-sniper guns have an FPS limit of 400fps, while snipers/DMRs have a limit of 450fps w/.20g BBs. 7. Don't initiate fights, don't get into fights. Get over it, you're playing Airsoft - expect to get hit, and potentially your feelings hurt. 8. Don't shoot the animals stuttering about on the field. 9. Watch your step. Some fields have crevasses, and subtle drops. 10. Stay hydrated.
