You have to wear bowling shoes, they don't necessarily have to be rented from the place, but they do have to be bowling shoes

I rented them but didnt wear them, because bowling shoes suck. No one told me anything.

Bowling shoes are required to bowl however, you do not have to rent them there if you already have your own.

If you have your own your more than welcome to wear them.
