Most DVD players will play cd's it's more than likely the program you are trying to use, or a faulty cd

More information would be helpful concerning the issue. Have you tried turning it off and back on again? Then contacting tech support for the device is my first suggestion, with all the components you have to operate the equipment experiencing problems and the time and patience needed to follow every direction the trained tech support takes you through. It's why they get paid.
