Although there is a playground for toddlers, it will be a waste of money and time to take a toddler there. The museum is free for that age group so you should take a child that young, only if you enjoy the museum yourself. When my daughter was 2, we had an annual pass and I took her with me to several museums so she can be exposed to new things. Their brains are developing at that stage. Just make sure you have them on a harness or a baby carrier so your hands are free
