I heard from an employee that there was a kerfuffle with some dogs that led to the owners getting sued.
Trails aren't big enough for dogs even on a leash and visitors. The vegetation is also sacred. It's a beautiful place, well worth the visit. Hoping you decide to stop and visit. It's worth it.
